Beautiful faces

Just came back from a trip to North Carolina visiting family and friends. There is so much to catch up on, but I wanted to share some of whats to come.

Pretty in Pink

Finally warming up to the idea of letting me put bows in her hair. They don't stay in for long, but that's my Abby.

"Keeping in Step With the Spirit"

Back in March I was asked by my church, Walnut Hill Community Church, to create some images for an upcoming sermon series, "Keeping in Step With the Spirit". The concept was to have a child dancing on the feet of their father and in some cases be able to see the expression on the child's face as excitement and joy. It just so happened I took my trip to California while I was working on this project. It gave me the opportunity to explore some different locations. Some shots were spur of the moment. We were driving through the mountains around sunset and found this great area to pull off the road. As the sun was setting my brother grabbed Abby and they were really just playing. These are such fun moments for us to remember. Now my family just laughs when we see my brother's feet on the two big screens every Sunday during the sermon.





















































































I also tried some different shots after we got back with Abby and her daddy since he was not on the trip.

Churchill-Joell Family

Little Liam

We hung out with our friends, Joe, Liz and sweet, little Liam. Babies are so precious. I can't believe how quickly time goes by and now our baby is a toddler. It was fun reliving the newborn stage for a couple of hours and then getting to go home and get a good nights sleep :) Joe and Liz, those long nights seem like an eternity now, but they don't last forever. You guys are doing a great job as parents!

Liam Thomas Cahill

Our good friends, Joe and Liz, had their son, Liam, on March 28, 2009. We are so happy for them. Liz had a rock start delivery! When we visited them in the hospital little Liam was sleeping so peacefully. It won't be long before we get some pictures of him awake. Congratulations you guys!!!

goodbye Moriah

Before Abby's playgroup buddy moved away, Moriah spent an afternoon with us while her mommy and daddy packed up the house. We made the most of our time together. How quickly friends come and go.

DePasquale Family

Fall in New England is absolutely gorgeous and I love being able to spend my time outside enjoying every minute of it. Capturing the DePasquales was so much fun for me. We went to a beautiful state park in Connecticut and played in the leaves and sand, with balls and iguanas. What fun! I felt as though I was just tagging along a family outing. Elias (4) and Brennan (19 months) had so much excitement in their eyes as they danced in the falling leaves and threw stones in the pond with their dad. Moments like these certainly don't last forever. What an honor for me to capture them through the camera for them.

Gillette Family

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to photograph or a sweeter family. Bryn, Kirsten and Cai are some of the most genuine, kind people I know. We loved following them around in their back yard and watching them interact with one another. Photographing them couldn't have been easier because their love for one another is so evident. It was very difficult to decide which images to post, but that is always a good thing!
