"Keeping in Step With the Spirit"

Back in March I was asked by my church, Walnut Hill Community Church, to create some images for an upcoming sermon series, "Keeping in Step With the Spirit". The concept was to have a child dancing on the feet of their father and in some cases be able to see the expression on the child's face as excitement and joy. It just so happened I took my trip to California while I was working on this project. It gave me the opportunity to explore some different locations. Some shots were spur of the moment. We were driving through the mountains around sunset and found this great area to pull off the road. As the sun was setting my brother grabbed Abby and they were really just playing. These are such fun moments for us to remember. Now my family just laughs when we see my brother's feet on the two big screens every Sunday during the sermon.

I also tried some different shots after we got back with Abby and her daddy since he was not on the trip.

Jason & Jamie | Engaged

Jamie and Jason will be getting married in September of this year. They are such an awesome couple who we've been having fun getting to know more and more. Their engagement session was so much fun for us to capture. We laughed a lot, which you may not be able to tell by the photographs ;) As you can see this couple is a lot of fun. They bring out the best in each other.
We won't be behind the camera on their wedding day, but we WILL have the honor of standing beside them as they take their vows and we promise to support and encourage their marriage as much as we possibly can.

50 Years of Marriage

This adorable couple celebrated and renewed their 50th anniversary wedding vows on Saturday. It was such a special time for me to be a part of. They were so happy and still very much in love. When I congratulated Papa Meola and commented on how amazing it is that they made it to 50, he told me it took them a lot of work (as every marriage does), but has been completely worth it. It was such a privilege for me to photograph the ceremony, as I am normally photographing weddings of couples starting out in marriage. I wish them many more happy, healthy years of marriage!

My two year old saw this image and said, "awww, how cute". It was absolutely precious!

Little Liam

We hung out with our friends, Joe, Liz and sweet, little Liam. Babies are so precious. I can't believe how quickly time goes by and now our baby is a toddler. It was fun reliving the newborn stage for a couple of hours and then getting to go home and get a good nights sleep :) Joe and Liz, those long nights seem like an eternity now, but they don't last forever. You guys are doing a great job as parents!

Dan & Cindi

Who says you need to have a special reason just to go out and get some fun pictures with the special people in your life? Dan and Cindi just wanted to take some time for one another, visiting places they enjoy and have some pictures too. We lucked out with an absolutely gorgeous day that wasn't too chilly.
