We were able to hang out with our good friends, the Stambaughs, while we were visiting NC. We had our last portrait session (while we were away) with them. They recently adopted baby Jacob and it was our first time meeting him. He is such a sweet little boy and Beth and Dave were made to be parents. It was such a joy to be around them and watch them interact as a family.
Dan and Elizabeth are some good friends of ours from college. During vacation to North Carolina this summer they asked us if we could take some photos of them. We were delighted to, especially since we don't get to see these special friends often and it would give us some quality time together. They suggested the Duke gardens, which neither of us couples had been to. All of us were taken back by the beauty the gardens offered as well as the uniqueness. I was in heaven with the light provided by the sun. We thoroughly enjoyed our time photographing the Radez family and couldn't get over how well behaved their precious son, Logan, was.
Just came back from a trip to North Carolina visiting family and friends. There is so much to catch up on, but I wanted to share some of whats to come.
I originally had separate dates scheduled to photograph Jack and Megan individually, but the weather wasn't cooperating, so we jumped on the first chance we got to go out and get some photos. Jack and Megan are both high school students who are pretty good friends with each other as well as with us. I took the opportunity to have them jump in a few shots together. I highly recommend bringing friends to photo shoots. They know how to make one another smile/laugh and it just makes it that much more fun. We spent most of the time hiking in Jack's back woods. He took us to his favorite places to be by himself and think. I must say, the rest of us were a bit jealous, the scenery was gorgeous and constantly changing. Oh the days to just be by yourself and not have to be responsible for anyone but you.
Hannah is such a doll who I loved getting to know during this photo shoot. It was just the two of us for this portrait session and we learned how much we had in common. She is an artist too and going to study painting at a school in NC.
Jamie and Jason will be getting married in September of this year. They are such an awesome couple who we've been having fun getting to know more and more. Their engagement session was so much fun for us to capture. We laughed a lot, which you may not be able to tell by the photographs ;) As you can see this couple is a lot of fun. They bring out the best in each other. We won't be behind the camera on their wedding day, but we WILL have the honor of standing beside them as they take their vows and we promise to support and encourage their marriage as much as we possibly can.
